BF Line is a free psychological support hotline for children and young people aged 14 to 35 from any city or region of Kazakhstan. Psychologists are ready to discuss topics such as relationships, emotions and feelings, health, personal safety, human rights, and personal development. The project is implemented with the support of the Center for Support of Civil Initiatives, the Ministry of Culture and Information, and local executive authorities.
Modernization and Improvement of Education Quality in Rural Schools
A project aimed at reducing the gap between urban and rural schools. In 2019, the foundation was entrusted with a state school in the village of Peterfeld (Kyzylzhar district, North Kazakhstan region), now named “Kyzylzhar Abay Secondary School”, for 10 years. The school underwent a major renovation and an update of its teaching staff to ensure that the school has highly qualified teachers.
Suicide Prevention and Mental Health Support for Minors
A project aimed at preventing suicide and supporting the mental health of schoolchildren and students aged 12 to 17. The project includes mental health screening, training for psychologists and teachers, psychological and medical assistance, and life skills development. As a result, from 2017 to 2020, adolescent suicide rates in Kyzylorda, Akmola, Aktobe, and Atyrau regions decreased by 50%.
The free educational program “Zharqyn Bolashaq” for children and young people aged 12 to 22 in the Mangistau region. The program covers Zhanaozen and the districts of Mangistau, Tupkaragan, Karakiya, Munaily, and Beineu. The program offers a grant for free education at the country’s top colleges, as well as full support, including scholarships, accommodation, travel expenses, English language courses, and guidance from coordinators and psychologists. The project is implemented with the support of the national company KazMunayGas and the Samruk-Kazyna Trust social projects development fund.
